FAQs

  • For most issues, a referral is required to see Dr. Hoare. If you are interested in shockwave treatment for erectile dysfunction, a no-fee, no-referral consultation can be arranged. Please click here for more information.

  • This can vary greatly depending on your issue. Potential cancer patients or patients with renal failure will be seen as soon as possible. Other less urgent issues may take up to 12 months to see. Sometimes the information sent to our office may not capture all of your concerns. If you feel there may be concerns left out of your referral, please ask your family doctor to send an updated consultation request.

  • Our office receives up to one hundred calls a day. We may not be able to respond immediately when you call. Please leave a voicemail if you would like us to respond. If you don’t leave a message, we won’t know the subject matter of the inquiry and will be unable to call you back.

  • Unfortunately, our building implemented a paid parking system. I do my best to run on time to limit the cost of parking for my patients.

  • If you are a new patient, it can be helpful if you show-up 15 minutes early to complete a new patient intake form. Alternatively, you can complete this form ahead of time and bring it in with you. If you are scheduled for a bladder scan and show-up ahead of time, we can often complete your scan early leading to more time with Dr. Hoare.

  • All of my patients are booked in 15 minute blocks. Some appointments won’t require this much time (e.g. reviewing a normal ultrasound or bloodwork). Other appointments will run longer (e.g. a new cancer diagnosis).
